KATHLEEN DOMM, MD, FAAP

PEDIATRICS

Dr. Kathleen Domm was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, then lived abroad in Seoul, South Korea where she taught English as a second language. She then graduated from the Medical College of Ohio and went on to complete her residency in pediatrics at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. She and her husband subsequently moved to Los Angeles, California where she was in private practice for three years while her husband completed his fellowship. In 2007, they moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where Dr. Domm worked in private practice for 13 years. She is passionate about advocating for and improving the health and well being of children. During her time in private practice, Dr. Domm especially enjoyed newborn care and earned her IBCLC (international Board Certified Lactation Consultant) so that she could better support the breastfeeding dyad. In 2020, Dr. Domm accepted a position as Foster Care Medical Director for Select Health of South Carolina, and she is an advocate for the health and resilience of this vulnerable group of young people. Dr. Domm is a board certified pediatrician, and she is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of its Council on Foster Care, Adoption, and Kinship Care.

Dr. Domm is married to her husband Aaron, and together they have three children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors (especially at the beach), playing tennis, traveling, and hanging out with her family and friends. She is thrilled to be a part of the Shifa Clinic, and she looks forward to caring for children in that setting.
