ICNA Relief Invited to Refugee Summit by UNT

The department of Social Work at The University of North Texas invited ICNA Relief to participate in their Refugee Summit 2017: Seeking A Safe Heaven.

ICNA Relief’s Refugees Services Director Sr. Hala Halabi was one of the panelists. She talked about services that ICNA Relief provides for refugees and what makes ICNA Relief refugee program so successful in Dallas.

The summit discussed what exactly it meant to be a refugee, what services are provided to refugees and how the community can help them. Students from the Department of Social Work also presented their research on how best to assist refugees.
