Br. Maqsood Ahmad has served as Executive Director at ICNA Relief USA since 2010. He has a background in civil engineering with a specialization in planning and water resource management. He completed his master’s degree from Georgia Tech in Statistics. He was ICNA Relief’s Head of Operations during Hurricane Katrina, which was the second disaster responded to by a fledgling ICNA Relief. Since then, ICNA Relief has responded to 47 disasters nationwide. He was a longtime ICNA volunteer prior to joining ICNA Relief.
Br. Abdulrauf Khan serves as Assistant Executive Director of ICNA Relief USA, where he oversees the South East region. He earned a Master’s in Business Management from the prestigious University of Karachi. He has completed numerous disaster response trainings including Interagency Logistics training at the Emergency Management Institute by FEMA, he is certified by the National Disaster Interfaith Network in chaplaincy for disaster spiritual care, field operations, disaster mental health, and self-care and has also received CERT training from the Miami-Dade County and the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation.
Jane Aslam serves as ICNA Relief’s Director of Disaster Relief Services (DRS). She has received disaster related training from FEMA, Emergency Management Institute, CERT, American Red Cross, NVOAD, and NDIN. Supported by ICNA Relief USA’s National Disaster Relief Team members and volunteers, she has directed 47 (04/17) disaster responses, and coordinates rebuild and recovery events, trainings and workshops, across the nation. On behalf of ICNA Relief, Sister Jane is the NVOAD (National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters) organizational representative, elected to the Board of Directors, member of the Disaster Case Management Committee, member of the Nominations Committee, and Board Liaison to the Advocacy Committee. Sister Jane also served as a FEMA VAL (Federal Emergency Management Agency Voluntary Agency Liaison) following Hurricane Katrina, in south Louisiana. She earned her Masters degree at the University of South Alabama, in Mobile, in the College of Computer Science.
Br. Altaj Ilyas serves as an Assistant Executive Director for ICNA Relief. He has 28 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, of which 19 years he gained in the nonprofit world. He is responsible for the financial management of ICNA Relief. He has studied CMA (Cost and Management Accounting) and Corporate Secretarial Practices. Br. Altaj has also been serving as a Treasurer of NYDIS (New York Disaster Interfaith Services) for the last 11 years.
