DO NOT HAVE HEALTHCARE
SHAMS Clinic has made it our goal to provide care to uninsured and underinsured individuals throughout Philadelphia. At the Social Health and Medical Services (SHAMS) Clinic, we provide primary care and social services in an integrated, patient-centered manner, no matter of background, race, religion. All programs are at 0 cost to the patient!
Our doctors consult patients on preventative care, chronic disease management, medications, and specialist referrals. Counseling includes but is not limited to, individual counseling, psychiatric services, community education, group counseling, and case management. Through on-site counseling and off-site referral, we facilitate access to public programs, such as unemployment benefits and food stamps.
Through these services, we hope to alleviate the effects of socioeconomic disadvantages on the health and social well-being of the underserved in Philadelphia. We also have a free essential pantry that is open the 2nd Saturday of every month where we offer hygiene products, cleaning supplies, diapers, laundry detergent and more to those in need. These services are open to all members of the community at no cost!
