[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Not a lot of us get that Ramadan-spiritual-high during Dhul Hijjah. There is no communal taraweeh. There isn’t a community-fasting momentum, unless you’re of the ones who come from really practicing households or friend circles and everyone decides to do the fasts. There is no ibadah all night as a family, looking out the window, feeling the aura of the night, and hoping it’s laylatul qadr. [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”قال النبي –صلى الله عليه وسلم-( مامن أيام العمل الصالح فيها أحب إلى الله من هذه الأيام قالوا يا رسول الله : ولا الجهاد في سبيل الله قال ولا الجهاد في سبيل الله إلا رجل خرج بنفسه وماله فلم يرجع من ذلك بشئ) رواه البخاري” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”The Prophet ﷺ said: “There are no days in which good deeds are more beloved to Allah than during these days. The Sahaba said: O Rasul Allah `{`Messenger of God`}`, not even jihad in the path of Allah? He ﷺ said: Not even jihad in the path of Allah except for the man who goes out in the path of Allah with his life and his wealth and returns with neither of them.”” font_container=”tag:h2|font_size:20|text_align:left|color:%23000000″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Maybe this is why the good deeds done on these days are worth more. Allah made it this way, He manufactured it this way. The last ten nights were a battle of who can stay awake and talk to Allah. These ten days are a battle of who can remember Allah throughout the day, while shaytaan isn’t locked up.

So Allah can see that in the midst of the day to day that is Dunya, do we find little minutes of solitude with Him? Do we use our tongue for goodness and gratitude? Do we share our wealth with others?

This week, we could pick an extra good deed. Something so small that it’s almost insignificant to others. But we know that something is solely for Allah.

These ten days we could invest our time and energy for others, through volunteering.

These ten days we could share all of our meals with others by ensuring a family has plenty of food for the week.

These ten days we could spend on our neighbors in ways we wouldn’t spend on ourselves or our family, simply because Allah will reward us with something far greater.

Give both large and small sums, and whisper to Allah, Allah this is for you. This is what I am doing this Dhul Hijjah. This is to prove that I believe in you Allah, and my reward is with you Allah, and you are sufficient for me, Allah.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
