On Saturday June 2, 2018, a free Community Health Fair was organized by APPNA & ICNA Relief at Masjid Salahudeen in Plano, TX. This free health fair was very successful, in which 28 people mostly local indigent Kurdish refugees participated and received free blood pressure screening, BMI, blood glucose, lipid panel and HgbA1c (3 months sugar) in-house testing as well as dietary counseling.
Free physician consultation was provided by APPNA and ICNA Relief volunteer physicians including APPNA North TX president, Dr. Mohammad Amir, Dr. Dawood Nasir (APPNA Summer Meeting Chair), Dr. Mehmooda Nasir and Dr. Mohammad Iqbal.
Since most of the health fair participants had no medical insurance and required further medical follow up, they were referred to ICNA Relief’s Free Medical Clinic in Dallas, TX, Masjid Salahudeen Director Br. Adil Abdullah was very thankful to APPNA and ICNA Relief for providing these valuable services to the community in need. This health fair is a part of providing free medical services to the community in need, nationwide through mobile clinic vans which is an APPNA & ICNA Relief joint project.
Our two brand new Mercedes sprinter Customized mobile clinic vans, one placed in Dallas, TX and an other in NY are providing free medical services in northeast and south region already by utilizing APPNA and ICNA Relief volunteers (physicians/paramedics) network nationwide, with thanks to God Almighty.
Through these mobile clinic vans APPNA and ICNA Relief will be providing free medical services by organizing free community health fairs during peace time and will also provide medical services whenever there is a disaster (Tornado, Flooding, Hurricane, etc) nationwide, God willing.
