ICNA Relief USA - Rebuild Refugee Lives in 3 Steps

Rebuild Refugee Lives in 3 Steps

Did you know ICNA Relief has long been assisting refugee families in the USA for the past 10 years?

We've provided thousands of refugees from Syria, Burma, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia and other countries with food from our pantries, with money for their rent, facilitated car donations to them and helped them learn language skills and find jobs.

Because Secretary of State John Kerry recently announced that the United States would be taking in 10,000 Syrian refugees in the near future, ICNA Relief is making preparations to welcome these brothers and sisters and transition them to a life of ease they've been deprived of for so long.

Step 1: In-Kind Donations

ICNA Relief is collecting in-kind donations to help incoming refugees to the US (and those already here) get their lives back in order.

Items should be new or like new. Give your brother/sister the kind of item you would want to be given.

Here's what we need:

 Step 2: Case Management

Did you know that refugees are in debt the moment they step foot on US soil?

They must pay back the airfare it took for the government to fly them here. Did you know that resettlement agencies only pay first and last month's rent, leaving many refugee families homeless after only a couple of months?

You probably didn't. That's why case management is so important. Please help us address the needs of individual refugee families by providing case management services so they can access social benefits and learn skills to get jobs to restart their lives in America.

Step 3: Become A Mentor

ICNA Relief has 14 chapters across the USA and refugee families looking for friendship. It can be anything from a monthy social visit, to helping them learn that generic and bulk groceries are cheaper than brand name. To learn what mentoring involves, sign up today.
