AL QURAN

O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), who has created you As well as those before you; Do so that you are saved. AL_HADITH

Narrated Sahl: The Prophet said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it."

Topic: Food

I have recently started thinking about the legitimacy (halal or haram) issue of eating meat and poultry in the US. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I attended a lecture about eating meat and poultry in the US and about the way animals are slaughtered. The final opinion of the lecturer was that the way animal and poultry are slaughtered in the US, is not according to Islam and that would make eating such meat haram. I have been looking for definite answers on how slaughtering is conducted in the US but I had mixed opinions. Should I abstain from eating meat and poultry from the US completely, or do you have a clearer answer? Thank you very much.

Dear brother Assalamu Alaykum As for clearer answer let me tell you the following. Always buy your meat from the Muslims and eat in the Muslim restaurants, if you have to eat in non-Muslim restaurants, then eat fish. This issue is one of the ongoing debates among the scholars. I read extensively in the issue. I am writing about it and the other issues, I pray to Allah to assist me to complete this work.
