Assalam u alaikum

“Have you seen him who denies religion? It is he who thrusts the orphan away and does not urge others to feed the needy.” (107: 1-3)
if the truth of Islam has touched a persons heart in any degree, he would not commit such acts. True belief in Islam is not a verbal statement, but an overall change of the individual’s heart, motivating him to benevolence and goodwill for all his fellow beings that are in need of his care and protection. Allah does not want mere words from His servants but demands deeds to support the spoken words which, otherwise, are as weightless and valueless as blown ash. Nothing can be more forceful than these three verses in affirming this fact which represents the nature of faith.

In many ways, America is the land of plenty but even in our own backyards, hunger is an unfortunate reality for many Americans. People in every community face the risk of going hungry. According to a recent report, 49 million Americans struggle with hunger, including 17 million children. ( ICNA Relief USA supports a mobile feeding program that provides hot meals, redeemable food vouchers at local grocery stores, Ramadan food baskets, Zabeeha meat, and emergency help to the homeless and poor. We also have food pantries (with trained staff distributing food to needy individuals and families) in New York, Boston, Florida, Detroit, Atlanta, New Jersey, Houston and Chicago.

Please donate generously to our Hunger Prevention program.
